Or download a CS UNIX/Windows Account Request Form in pdf file or a .doc format.
Download either of these forms, print it, fill it out completely (both sides),
Please fill out the account form COMPLETELY, get any appropriate signatures, and then, you sign BOTH sides. You can hand in the form to Debbie in NEB 224.
On the form, since you're a grad student, please make sure you've checked off that you want a Unix Grad account, which will supply you with your CS e-mail address and an account to access the Grad Unix computers (including the ones in the Masters’ Office or other Grad Unix machines that we support.)
If you need access to the Ugrad Lab’s Windows machines, check off that you want a Windows account as well. Also, if you'll be using the Unix machines in the Ugrad Lab, you’ll want to check off Unix Undergrad account.
Additionally, make sure you list your JHU-assigned JHEM e-mail address on the account form. Under “Local Address”, please list your local resident address while attending JHU, as well as your home address (when you’re not attending JHU.)
You may apply for whichever accounts you need (Grad Unix, Ugrad Unix, Windows) when you apply for your Grad Unix account.
If you already have a Grad Unix account, and then later, need a Ugrad Unix or Windows account, or both) please fill out the form again indicating which other accounts you need, and make a note along the top of the form that you already have a Grad Unix account, and what the Grad Unix account name is.
If you are a Concurrent (grad/ugrad at the same time) CS student or were a CS Ugrad Unix user before and are now in the grad program, please contact support@cs.jhu.edu to discuss how to transition to a Grad Unix account, if desired.
You will be contacted (probably via e-mail to one of the e-mail addresses you listed on the form) by Steve DeBlasio, after your account is created, with instructions for pick-up. Please allow at two business days for your account to be created. You'll meet with Steve in NEB 226 to pick up your account during his posted office hours.. Please bring your J-Card or other form of picture ID. If you plan to access the Ugrad Lab/CS Collaboration room, you will need to have your J-Card registered into our system.
