SERVICE OUTAGES

UNPLANNED CS SERVICE OUTAGES

WHAT: Main CS webpage (and WSE webpage) appear to be down.

WHEN: Sunday, Aug 11.

DETAILS: We are unable to reach the CS and WSE main websites, both run by WSE IT. We're requested having them look into the issue. Updates here as we receive them.


PLANNED CS SERVICE OUTAGES


WHAT: Planned CS network maintenance that might affect network connectivity.
WHEN: Tuesday, August 13, from 7am to 8am
DETAILS:
We are making configuration changes to our new network switches on Tuesday, Aug 13, between 7am and 8am.
During that time, you might experience brief (no more than a minute) interruptions or delays when accessing the CS servers, including the CS website, CS email, and NFS (and SMB) share directories.
During that time, it might be prudent to refrain from editing files or other activities that write to the network drives.


CS COMPUTING LAB AVAILABILITY

All CS computing labs available at this time.


AUDIO/VISUAL (A/V) OUTAGES

WHAT: MH 122: ugrad1 cannot display anything on the projector
WHEN: Since February 2019
DETAILS: Communication between ugrad1 and the projector does not currently work. The A/V in the lab is managed by JHU's A/V group, Kit-cats. They have notified the manufacturer of the A/V connection equipment of the problem, and they are waiting on a fix from the manufacturer. You can still connect a laptop to the projector using the instructions available at the table.
