Linux Clients on the CS Grad/Research Net

Revision as of 20:22, 10 October 2013 by Phil (talk | contribs)

The following is a list of Linux machines available for grad students, faculty, researchers, or staff on the Grad/Research Net. These Linux machines can be accessed remotely via ssh, scp or VNC.

If you're working remotely, it's recommended that you use gradx, as it can handle more concurrent use than any of the lab machines. All of them are identically configured, however, so anything you can do on one of them can be done on all of the others, too.

(Note: all machines end with .cs.jhu.edu as in, masters1.cs.jhu.edu)

hostname Operating System Location
gradx Fedora 17 Only available remotely via ssh or scp.
masters1 Fedora 17 CS Masters Lab (Shaffer 402)
masters3
masters4 Fedora 17 CS Masters Collaboration Area (Shaffer 400)
masters9
masters10 Fedora 17 CS Masters Lab (Shaffer 402)
masters16

ssh key fingerprints for these machines can be found on the SSH Key Fingerprints for Grad and Ugrad Net Linux Computers page.
