PLANNED CS SERVICE OUTAGES

WHAT: Ugrad Network Home Directory File Server Will Experience A Brief Loss Of Networking Which May Affect You.
WHEN: Thursday, 9/26 starting at 9am and lasting up to 15 minutes.
UPDATE: As of 9:05 am, the maintenance is complete.
DETAILS: We need to make a network configuration change on our Ugrad Net's home directory file server, barley.cs.jhu.edu, to attempt to correct an issue. To complete the change, we must reset the network on that system. Since it contains the Ugrad home directories, during the network reset time, all the CS Ugrad clients may lose connection to the file server.
Therefore, This Thursday, 9/26 at 9am, please do not attempt to use the CS Ugrad Linux systems for at least 15 minutes. If you're already logged in before 9am, please make sure you are logged out by 9am. Otherwise, you run the risk of losing current data you might be working on.
If there are any issues with the network reset, we'll update its status here.

AUDIO/VISUAL (A/V) OUTAGES

WHAT: MH 122: ugrad1 cannot display anything on the projector
WHEN: Since February 2019
DETAILS: Communication between ugrad1 and the projector does not currently work. The A/V in the lab is managed by JHU's A/V group, Kit-cats. They have notified the manufacturer of the A/V connection equipment of the problem, and they are waiting on a fix from the manufacturer. You can still connect a laptop to the projector using the instructions available at the table.
