VMWare Academic Partnership

The Whiting School of Engineering (WSE) now provides licenses for the following VMWare software including:

• VMWare Workstation Professional
• VMWare Fusion
• VMWare vSphere
• VMWare NSX

These software packages can be used on both JHU-owned or personal machines. WSE Students, faculty, and staff are free to use this software for personal (non-business-related) use, research, or coursework.

Please note that these licenses are extended trial versions that allow use of the software for a little over a year and should not be used for critical lab infrastructure.

WSE Students, faculty, and Staff can only request one license key per product per year.

(NOTE: If you are a WSE faculty, staff member, or student course assistant that needs the ability to install more than one instance of products, please email the JHU software group at software@jhu.edu and ask to be added to the VMWare Lab Installers group.)

To access the VMWare software, please visit https://jhu.onthehub.com

You will be asked to log in using your JHU credentials. Once inside, simply select the software you wish to use and add it to your cart. When you check out, you will be asked to agree to each product’s terms of use and will be provided with a download link and license key.
