INTRO

As of January, 2022, there are two Audio Visual support teams handling various A/V needs in Malone Hall. Kit-Cats for general A/V support and WSE's Center for Learning Design & Technology group for A/V support of Malone's "Studio" rooms (former conference rooms that have turned into Studio/Zoom rooms.) See below for contacting each group. CS also maintain projectors in the CS Ugrad Lab (MH 122) and the MSSI Lab (MH 316.) See below for A/V support info for those two rooms as well.

NOTE: CS IT does not administer or repair general A/V equipment or services within Malone Hall or for Hackerman B-17's lecture hall (where CS held in-person seminars pre-pandemic.)

General Malone Hall A/V Support

This includes most Malone offices, and some seminar/conference rooms. (This does not include the studio rooms. See elsewhere on this page.)

  • Conference Rooms: If you are using one of the Malone Hall non-studio conference rooms (currently, MD 107 should be the only non-studio conference room that CS uses), and have an A/V issue, please contact Kit-cats directly by phone for quickest response. Otherwise, send them an email if it is not urgent.
  • Offices: If you have a wall-mounted TV/Monitor in your office and are having issues with the hardware, cabling, or its operation, please contact Kit-cats directly by phone for quickest response. Otherwise, send them an email if it is not urgent. NOTE: At the time of this writing, we do not know if/how Kit-cats charges for any A/V work to be done in your office. If unsure, check with someone in the CS office.

Malone Hall Studio/Zoom Rooms A/V Support

Malone Hall Houses what are called Studio Rooms (might also be referred to as Zoom Rooms) that were created for faculty to teach students virtually during the pandemic. The rooms are still being used for virtual meetings.

CS Undergrad Lab MH 122 And Its Breakout Rooms Projectors

Any issues with the projector in the main 122 area or the short-throw projectors in the breakout rooms...
