PLANNED OUTAGES

CS Undergrad Net Outage Scheduled

WHEN: Wednesday, 1/21, from 5am to Noon.

WHAT: We need to do an important repair, as well as maintenance on the CS Undergrad home directory disk array. This will require us to take the disk array offline for several hours to accomplish these tasks. Since this disk array is integral to the operations of the CS Ugrad network, the entire CS Undergrad Net will be down and unavailable starting at 5am on Wednesday, January 21 and lasting most of the morning.

HOW THIS MAY AFFECT YOU: On January 21 from 5am to noon (or perhaps earlier than noon), all of the CS Undergrad Lab client Linux computers (ugrad1 through ugrad24 and ugradx) will be unavailable during this time. You will not be able to access your CS Ugrad Net home directory files during this time. Also, both the CS Undergrad web server and the CS Undergrad mail server will be down during this time as well. Mail to the CS Ugrad net will be queued up for delivery once the CS Ugrad mail server is back up.

(For Grad students and Faculty, the CS Grad/Research Net mail and webserver are unaffected and will remain running.)
