UNPLANNED CS SERVICE OUTAGES

PLANNED CS SERVICE OUTAGES

WHAT: www.cs.jhu.edu (and CS IT Support Wiki too!) web server being rebooted.
WHEN: Thursday, Sep 27 at 9am.
DETAILS: We have to reboot the dept's web server to activate some important updates. We are expecting the www.cs.jhu.edu web services to be down for less than 15 minutes, if all goes as planned. While www.cs.jhu.edu will be down, so will other websites we host, including support.cs.jhu.edu.



CS COMPUTING LAB AVAILABILITY

MH G-61 (THE CS UGRAD/MASTERS LAB) CLOSURE ON SATURDAY, OCT 13

WHAT: The CS Masters/Ugrad Lab, MH G-61, will be closed due to the ACM Local Programming Contest.

WHEN: Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 12pm - 7pm.

ADDITIONAL INFO: This only affects G-61. The MH-122 Ugrad lab will remain open during this time. Although G-61 will be closed for the ACM Local Programming Contest, you may still access the Linux systems in that lab remotely, via ssh. Please see:

MH 122 & MH G-61 (ALL CS UGRAD and MASTERS LABS) CLOSURES ON SATURDAY, NOV 10

WHAT: The MH 122 Ugrad Lab and both lab sides of the CS Masters/Ugrad Lab, MH G-61, will be closed due to the ACM Regional Programming Contest.

WHEN: Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 5:30am - 7:30pm.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Although these labs will be closed for the ACM Regional Programming Contest, you may still access our Linux systems remotely, via ssh. Please see:

Projector in the main MH 122 Ugrad lab is down.

(Update: 8/10/18) - Kit-cats has been actively working on the repair. Should be completed by the time the school year commences.
11/2/17 - Kit-cats (JHU's A/V group) has been called. They have been out and are evaluating their options for repair. ETA for repair is unknown at this time.
