Results of the 8/14 outage.
The planned outage from the morning of 8/14/13 is complete, and our servers are back up. If you're experiencing any problems connecting to our systems (logging in or sending or receiving CS mail), please e-mail support@cs.jhu.edu as soon as possible with a complete description of your problem. The more info you can provide us, the easier it will be to troubleshoot.
We need to know what machine you're trying to ssh into *and* from what IP you're ssh'ing, as well as a detailed description of the error you're experiencing.
If you're experiencing issues connecting to our smtp.cs.jhu.edu mail server to send e-mail, please provide us your client's outgoing mail settings, including security type and whether you have it set to require a login. Please do not send us passwords.
If you're having issues receiving e-mail from our pop.cs.jhu.edu (pop and imap) mail server, please send us as much of your imap or pop configuration info as you can.
