Connecting To The CS Ugrad Net Using DHCP
Since CS does not maintain wireless connections, if you will not be connecting to JHU's "hopkins" wireless system, then, you will need to use a CAT-5/6 cable for your network connection.
DHCP service on the CS Ugrad net is available from the table-mounted network ports (and some wall ports) within the Croft (formerly, NEB) 225/227 Undergraduate Lab.
Once you plug your computer into a network wall-port:
Open a browser.
Browse to some website.
Your browsing call will be intercepted by the DHCP server.
Fill out the form that appears, and click submit.
Once you see a confirmation page appear, please reboot your machine. You will now be on the CS net.
