A/V (Audio-Visual) In The Malone Seminar & Conference Rooms

The various CS meeting/seminar/conference rooms in Malone Hall ahave a variety of A/V capabilities including projectors and video screens.


Please note that CS IT Support is not involved with direct Malone Hall A/V Support, other than providing this documentation page.


Intro

There are several rooms in Malone Hall that are set up for meetings that include presentations. Video-conferencing capabilities are included in one of the rooms (MH 107).

If you are having issues with any of the A/V equipment in any of those rooms, please contact Kit-Cats directly.

The only exception is the computer in MH-107, as that is maintained by WSE I.T. and you should email them for support with that system at: wsehelp@jhu.edu


Presentation Rooms

The following meeting/conference rooms are configured for presentations.

  • MH 107: Conference room with two large display monitors. Also, can be used for Video-conferencing.
    • Includes Windows PC-access via the keyboard on top of the rack box in the left front of room. (PC is locked within the rack.)
      • PC includes Skype, Skype For Business, and Zoom.
      • You can log into the PC with your JHED ID.
    • Has an external USB cable to connect your thumb drive.
    • Can display directly to the TVs using AirMedia to wirelessly broadcast from your laptop to the screen. No need to use the room's PC, since you can use your laptop instead.
  • MH 122: Ugrad Collaboration Lab. For Undergrad-related class presentations.
    • Includes a projector:
      • You can connect your laptop to the projector at the tabletop.
      • You can set ugrad1 ( Linux system at the same tabletop controls where you can connect a laptop) to display at the project.
    • MH-122 includes 3 breakout rooms with short-throw projectors.
  • MH 216: Small meeting room with large display monitor.
  • MH 222: Small meeting room with large display monitor.
  • MH 228: Conference room with video projector.
    • Connect your laptop to the HDMI cable at front of the room.
    • Projector controls on wall plate at front of room.

Video-Conferencing

Video conferencing is now only available in Malone Hall 107. More details will be added here once we learn about the new system recently put into place. (Sept. 2018.)
